// PRIVACY

WHAT IS COLLECTED,
AND WHAT NEVER LEAVES.

Running a night takes a name for the door, a way to send your pass, and a way to take payment. That is what is collected, that is what it is used for, and none of it is sold. The details, in plain language, are below.

Effective August 22, 2026.

// WHAT IS COLLECTED

ONLY WHAT THE NIGHT NEEDS

YOUR NAME
Goes on the ledger so the door knows you're expected. If you buy seats for others, their names go on the same list — that is the only thing their names are used for.
YOUR EMAIL
Delivers your pass and confirmation for a night you signed up for. It is not added to a mailing list unless you separately ask for announcements.
YOUR MOBILE
Always optional — a ticket never requires one. Texts are covered in their own section below.
PAYMENT
Cards are handled by our payment processor — Square, or Stripe where a night is sold through it. Card numbers go to the processor directly and never touch these servers. That processor's own privacy policy governs what it holds.
HOW YOU ARRIVED
If the link that brought you here names where it was posted — a poster's code, the bio link, a venue's calendar — that one word is kept with your order, so the team knows which poster or listing actually sells tickets. It is a label from a short list of our own surfaces, never a browsing history: no cookies, no tracking across sites, nothing shared with anyone, and arriving untagged is recorded as exactly that.
// TEXT MESSAGES

TEXTS ARRIVE ONLY IF YOU ASKED

Ticket confirmations and event reminders are sent by SMS only when you enter a mobile number at checkout and tick the consent box — buying a ticket never requires either. If you text the house number first, the reply answers your question and nothing more. Message frequency varies by event, typically one to three messages per event you hold tickets to. Message and data rates may apply.

STOPPING IS ONE WORD
Reply STOP to any message and the texts end immediately. Reply HELP for help, or START to resume. Opting out stops the messages — your ticket and your place on the ledger stay intact.
YOUR NUMBER IS NOT SHARED
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
THE CARETAKER LINE
On phone-free nights a sitter, school, or caretaker can call or text the house number to reach a guest. The caller's number is used to route that one contact and for nothing else.
// WHO TOUCHES IT

SERVICE PROVIDERS, NOT BUYERS

Contact details are never sold or rented. They reach exactly three kinds of processors, each doing the thing you asked for: Square or Stripe to take a payment, Twilio to deliver a call or text, and Cloudflare, where the site and its records are hosted. Each acts under its own agreements as a service provider, not as an owner of your information.

// YOUR RECORD

ASK, AND IT'S ANSWERED

Records are held by David Teter, doing business as Set & Signal Productions (a registered assumed business name). To see what is held about you, correct it, or have it removed, write to hello@setandsignal.com from the address on your ticket. Records are kept while they are needed to run events and meet ordinary accounting obligations, then removed. Changes to this page take effect when posted here, with the date above updated to match.
